UK Student Visa Process
The rules for UK Student visa varies for EU/EEA and swiss students and non-EU/EEA students. Proof of Finance and 28 days Rule
This is the major cause of visa refusal. The problem that most students and parents have shown their Company/Business Bank Statement, like ABC Ltd, ABC Ventures, and so on, as an evidence of finance. This is not acceptable even if you are a signatory to that account. However, the acceptable bank statement is your Personal Bank statement or Biological parents bank statement. Where you use your parents bank statement, you MUST provide your birth certificate showing that there is a biological relationship between you and the account holder, and a Parental Consent Letter stating that the fund is meant to support your studies in the UK.
The ”28 days Rule”
Apart from providing an appropriate bank statement, the required money in the account must have been in the account for a consecutive 28 day period ending no more than 31 days before the date of visa application. If your bank statement does not meet with this rule, your visa application will be refused.
Previous Visa
Students are also likely to be refused a Tier 4 visa if their planned course of study in the UK does not show progression or whose UK previous study visa was terminated as a result of poor attendance or other misconduct while in the UK.
Late Application
Students are always advised to apply for their visa at the earliest time possible, because you can apply even 3 months before your course start date. If your application is after your course start date, your application will be refuse.
